“I live on a fixed income due to a major car accident, for which Beatrice was there to comfort me through my rehabilitation. My mom passed away from COVID in 2020. I am still grieving her terribly which makes the loss of Beatrice even more difficult. Beatrice got upset when I cried. I could tell by the look in her eyes that she wanted so much to be able to take all of that away. When I adopted her, I made a promise to give her my best, so I knew allowing her to pass peacefully at home when it was time to say goodbye was the best gift.”
